Zielgruppe: Die EAO wendet sich mit dem Seminar an Student:innen aus Deutschland und den USA.
Veranstaltungsort: EAO

Description:
Date:
07.03. – 15.03.2025
Venue:  European Academy Otzenhausen with excursions to Brussels (one overnight stay) and Strasbourg

AAre you a student of international relations, diplomacy, security and peace studies or a related discipline with an interest in global politics and transatlantic security in particular? Do you want to explore and discuss the major policy issues that have shaped transatlantic affairs in recent times and look at current global challenges through the lens of both the US and the EU? Then join the "Spring Academy 2025: Transatlantic Relations and Current World Cha(lle)nges" with students from the US (West Chester University, Pennsylvania) and the EU in March 2025 taking place in Germany (Frankfurt am Main and Otzenhausen), France (Strasbourg) and Belgium (Brussels).

Through various side visits and excursions (NATO, European Parliament, Council of Europe, European Central Bank), participants will have a unique opportunity to learn more about Europe and its cultural and historical heritage by experiencing and better understanding it in the context of the development of European integration and transatlantic relations.

The encounter format enables young people from different continents and backgrounds to exchange views and opinions on current issues that will shape our common future.  Through the final project, students will reflect together on the experience and propose a joint project based on the gained knowledge.
