Target Group:
Students from Germany and Mexico
This program is aimed at young adults – students of International Relations, International & EU Law, Politics, Economics and Management – from Germany and Mexico who wish to deepen their understanding of global politics, European integration, and transatlantic relations.
At its core lies the idea of discovering Europe beyond clichés and bureaucracy—as a diverse cultural, political, and economic space—just as it highlights Mexico, whose global importance and dynamic development are often underestimated.
Participants will jointly explore current challenges such as geopolitical tensions, security issues, migration, climate change, and questions related to AI and ethics. Through academic exchange, collaborative workshops, and in-depth discussions, they will have the opportunity to encounter and critically reflect on different perspectives.
Two days of the program will be dedicated to excursions to Strasbourg and Luxembourg. Visits to central European institutions such as Council of Europe, European Investment Bank, European Parliament and selected European Courts in both cities will deepen their understanding of political processes and human rights structures. The program aims to promote intercultural learning, open up new perspectives, and empower young people to consciously recognize similarities and differences.
At the same time, the encounter program seeks to foster networks that strengthen dialogue between both countries beyond the duration of the seminar. In this way, the program not only supports the acquisition of knowledge but also the development of sustainable connections and a heightened awareness of shared global challenges.
