Let's talk, Europe - EU and the Western Balkan

Online zoom-Meeting with Doris Pack, MEP a.D.

What about the EU's relations with the countries of the Western Balkans right now?
Online discussion with Doris Pack, former MEP

On 6th May the EU held a videoconference with the Western Balkan countries to discuss their membership prospects in view of the Corona crisis. The six countries' efforts to join the EU are at different stages of development. One of the European Union's foreign policy priorities is to strengthen relations with the Western Balkan states and open up accession prospects for the countries of the region. Albania, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia are among the "candidate countries" of the EU, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kosovo among the "potential candidate countries". The road to EU membership has progressed differently for the six countries.
