The European Academy of Otzenhausen is an independent and officially recognised provider of extracurricular youth and adult education. It works independently of political parties and religious creeds and addresses people of all civil society groups from 16 years on. Founded as an "Eingetragener Verein" (registered association), it is today a "gemeinnützige Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung" (non-profit company with limited liability) according to German law.
The European Academy of Otzenhausen is located in the community of Nonnweiler in the district of Sankt Wendel, at the heart of the European model region SaarLorLux and near the European capitals Luxembourg, Strasbourg and Brussels.
